PlanetShakers - You Are Good

Greeting everyone! Ray here with a cover from PlanetShakers' ONE album called You Are Good. It is a pretty neat song with a nice tune... there are some mess ups but still sound good enough to match the song. Although the drum solo part was not perfected, but I tried my best to make it sound exactly the same. Hope you enjoy it and God bless.

This is one of my favorites and I thought it might be nice to share with everyone. The song is simple and catchy. It truly makes you want to get up and dance for God. Hope you all enjoy this cover and continue to praise God in everything you do. God bless!

Unhindered - We Shine

Hey guys, Ray here. My apologies that I haven't been posting anything new lately. I have been very busy in college and also during the holidays preparing for Chirstmas and the New Year. I'm back and I can see that there are a lot of song requests, I wouldn't guarantee that I will do all of them but I will do my best. But as for now, enjoy the cover that I did a while back... wasn't able to upload it because of some technical difficulties with youtube. Hope you all are doing great and may you all have a blessed year 2010. God bless.

Hillsong - Shout Of The King

Hey everyone, Ray here. This song is has some interesting parts that I think is great to cover because some people might get confused at those parts. Especially the transition from the verse to chorus. Ok then, hope you all enjoy this cover. God bless.

PlanetShakers - All That Matters

Hey everybody, Ray here with another cover. This is PanetShakers' All That Mattes from the All For Love album. There are certain parts in the cover that I think I went overboard enjoying the song (headbanging) but overall I think it is an ok cover. I didn't completely copy the fills, some of them were just improvised on the spot.

To play this song, you really need to listen to it a couple of times first because the song is really long and has many different parts. There were many parts in which I forgot to play before I recorded it, so just to make sure, listen to it until you got it memorized in your head. That is my advice if anyone plans on playing this song in Church or anywhere for the matter.

Anyways, hope you all enjoy this video. God bless.

Hillsong - For All You've Done

Hey everyone, here is another cover from Hillsong. This is one of my favourite songs to play because of the really awesome drum intro. Although it is not covered right down to a 100% but it is close enough. So hope you all enjoy this cover. God bless.

Hillsong United - Yours Forever

Greetings everyone, Ray here with another Hillsong United cover. This song is called "Yours Forever" from their latest album "A_Cross // the_EARTH: Tear Down The Walls." This song in particular is quite challenging to get the video and audio in sync because of the triplet style beat in the 2nd verse so I'd recommend everyone to practice the 2nd verse. It is really tough and can be really frustrating to get it down right. So anyways, hope you enjoy this cover, God bless.

Desperation Band - Counting On God

Hey everyone, Ray here with another new drum cover. This song in particular in one of my favorites not just because of the drumming but the lyrics and the message it brings out. Because in whatever circumstances I am in, be it good or bad. I'll be counting on God!

Overall, it is a great song... love the music, love the drumming, love the lyrics. Everything! Hope you all enjoy this cover. God bless!

Hillsong - Yours Is The Kingdom

Greetings fellow drummers, here is a drum cover of Hillsong - Yours Is The Kingdom from the album "God He Reigns". The 2nd verse with the marching snare beat was a little to hard to memorize so I wrote it down on notation instead... that is why my head was facing the music stand during the second verse... I'vel uploaded the notation of the 2nd verse just in case if you guys want to do it in a 90% accuracy. Enjoy this video. God bless...

Hillsong United - Desperate People

Greetings fellow drummers, this is Ray and here is a cover requested by Zhi, the song: Hillsong United - Desperate People from "All Of The Above" album. Sorry that I went a li'l off time during the second verse. But I think it is still good enough to be posted.

So if there is anything hard about the song is to stay in time, because the song in a way tempts you to want to go faster. Other than that, the marching like snare during the beginning is mainly singles with a short diddle on the left hand at the end of every bar count.

Hope you all enjoy this cover, God bless.

Hillsong United - King Of Majesty

This song is from the To The Ends Of The Earth album, although there were a lot of parts which I did not copy exactly like the original. But I think it is close enough to get the grasp of the song and groove. I've changed the camera angle because this camera which I recently bought is much larger and wide screen, which makes it harder for me to show the how drum set and my playing. This is the best angle I can do as it already against the corner the wall and as you can or "cannot" see my other ride cymbal that's on my upper left in my other videos.

Hillsong United - You Deserve

This drum cover is a very straight forward song. So there really is not much explanation needed. Just need to be careful at the 1st verse and pre-chorus because you might tend to get out of tempo. Alright then, enough said and enjoy this video... God bless!

Lincoln Brewster - Let The Praises Ring

This is a drum cover on one of my personal favorites from Lincoln Brewster's album All To You. The song starts with a short roll followed by an interesting tom-tom groove. I basically played it in a 16th note single strokes with accents. I dont exactly know how the drummer did it so I came up with my own and hopefully it is as close as the original. The Rs and Ls that are bolded are to emphasize that you need to hit them louder.

Youth Alive - Shout Your Glory

What is up everyone! Raymond G here, sorry that there has not been any update lately. We've been very busy over the past few weeks with work and assignments to do. Nevertheless, once we get that time we need, we'll be doing more drum covers.

So here's Shout Your Glory by Youth Alive from the All Of The Above album. A song that is some what heavy and has a 'Mike Portnoy' feel to it. Hopefully you guys can learn from this video and God bless!
